Friday Lunchtime Drop-In

Drop of Dharma on Friday Afternoons

At her class on Fridays, Vajragupta talks about the Dharma for half an hour or so, invites you to take the teachings into a meditation, and then allows time to elaborate on the themes over tea and biscuits afterwards. Suitable for anyone familiar with our two meditation practices.

Three Jewels Night

An evening of talks, ritual and the opportunity to connect with sangha friends. Led by Aryadhi, Bodhivajra, Sujana and Vajragupta.

Open to all familiar with our two meditation practices and with an interest in Buddhist ritual.

Arrive from 6.30pm for tea and the chance to socialise.

Great Yarmouth Buddhism & Meditation Group

We do a little meditation most weeks, along with discussion, shared activities or talks, and sometimes ritual. While not specifically geared to beginners, you are welcome to drop in and join us even if you have not been before. The Meeting House, Howard Street South, Yarmouth NR30 1LN (Green Gate off Palmers' Car Park).

Tuesdays: arrive from 6:30pm for a 7pm start, ends 9pm

Tues 19 Feb: Suryadarshini will give a talk on The Third Precept – Stillness, Simplicity & Contentment

Tues 5 March: [TBA] Either a discussion & practice evening on the principle of Stillness, Simplicity & Contentment OR Jnanashalin will lead an evening on Reflection

Tues 12 March: Kalyanamati will give a talk on The Fourth Precept –Truthful Communication

Tues 19 March: A discussion and practice evening on the the principle of Truthful Communication, and a farewell to Ruth (who is going on an Ordination Retreat)

Tues 2 April: Alokadhara will give a talk on The Fifth Precept – Mindfulness

Tues 9 April: A discussion & practice evening on the principle of Mindfulness

Tues 16 April: [TBA] Either a discussion & practice evening OR Jnanashalin will lead an evening on Reflection

Women's Dharma Workshop

The WDW is a creative exploration of the dharma by women at the Norwich Buddhist Centre to deepen our practice and friendships. The group is open to all women who regularly attend the Centre.

15 June: 2 - 4pm 'The Path of the Spiritual Warrioress' - Part silent walk with ritual along part of Boudicca’s Way. With Nicole Bayes and Catherine Ward. Directions: Meet at Iceni Village car park NR14 8QN next to the church (Take 87 Bus from the bus station, ask for Caistor hall bus stop, a 15 min bus ride – get off there for a 5 min walk straight up the hill to the car park). Lifts may be possible. Please book at the Centre.

Men's Buddhist Workshop

Monthly Saturday morning sessions open to all men. An opportunity for men to get together and explore and practise meditation and Buddhism.
There is no charge for this. By donation.
