A Jewel Quest Day for women GFR mitras & Dharmacarinis of East Anglia
Sunday 30 November | 10-4pm

We will be exploring the theme ‘Going for Refuge’ and what this means for us. There will be 3 short talks on the theme, from women at different stages of their journeys and a chance in groups to reflect on and discuss these talks & our own process. Lunch will be vegan and shared and we will end with a puja and offerings. The day will include meditation.

10am: Doors open for arrival, tea/coffee and hellos
10.30am: Welcome and introductions to each other and the day
10.45am: Meditation
11.30am: 3 talks by GFR mitras and an order member on what Going for Refuge means to them (Talk 1)
11.45am: Tea break
12.15pm: Talk 2
12:35pm: Talk 3
1pm: Lunch – Please bring vegan food for a shared lunch. If your diet makes a shared vegan meal unsuitable, then please bring your own food, labelled as yours, and keep it separate. Thank you.
2pm: Groups with questions
3pm: Puja with reading, mantra and offerings
3.45pm: Clear up and farewells

Parking
Parking is available nearby (Monastery car park, Elm Hill or St Andrews multi storey, Duke Street). Unfortunately there is very little parking available on Bank Street itself.

The train station is about five minutes walk from the Buddhist Centre, over the river & straight up Prince of Wales Road.
