Norwich Buddhist Centre is 50!
You are warmly invited to our 50th Anniversary celebration.
The day starts (optionally) at our lovely centre with tea and (your own) breakfast followed by a meditation and ritual dedicating the day. We will then walk together (again optional) to the venue for the day in good time for the main welcome and introduction.
The main event will take place from 11am at Jessopp Road Scout and Community Hub, a hidden gem in the middle of NR2.
A significant part of the day will be rituals of blessings for the next 50 years. We will also look back at our NBC Story told by former Chairs. There will be food and an opportunity to catch up with friends and make new ones. We will be able to enjoy the fruits of Bodhivajra’s GASP project on the Heart Sutra with performances from those who have taken part.
Our theme for the year of the Four Gifts will be represented with lotuses, a golden net, a round dance in the evening and even a pop-up garden.
It’s a significant milestone for the Norwich Buddhist Centre which we look forward to enjoying together with ritual, meditation, friendship, food, fun and frolics culminating with a fire ritual and barbecue. We hope it will be an event to remember.
The cost for the day is by donation and you will need to book for the day. We ask you to please give generously for this special event.
For those who have a completed at least one course with us and are familiar with our meditation practices.
N.B. You are welcome to bring your children and enjoy the day with them. For safeguarding reasons, you will need to supervise them at all times.

To round off our 50th Anniversary Celebrations there will be a BBQ supper. If you would like to join us for this please book here to ensure we have enough food. Bookings will close 7 July.
