FINAL MANDALA RITUAL FOR AMOGHASIDDHI …AT MIDNIGHT!
ㅤ
Please join us on the winter solstice, the turning point of the year (in terms of daylight), Saturday December 21st, for the final ritual in our year-long mandala celebration of the five Buddhas, around the city of Norwich.
ㅤ
Beginning at dawn on the 24th March, we met in the east to celebrate Akshobhya on the banks of the Yare. Then on Midsummer’s Day we were in southern Marston woods & marsh in the noon-day sun to enjoy the radiance of Ratnasambhava. Vairocana was our Buddha at the centre of the mandala on July’s Dharma Day, followed by Amitabha in Earlham Park on the autumnal equinox, the evening of September 22nd, to the west of the city.
ㅤ
Finally, we are meeting at 11.30pm to greet Amoghasiddhi, the green Buddha representing fearlessness and unobstructed action and energy. Come if you dare! His time is midnight and his direction is the north so we will congregate at the gateway to Catton Park on Spixworth Road, opposite the Old Catton War Memorial. Park along the road.
ㅤ
Please come, wearing green if you would like to & bringing a torch. The ground is uneven and may be muddy so do wear suitable footwear & dress warmly! The ritual will probably last half an hour or so. See you there, if you dare…
ㅤ
No need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
