Meditation is a practical way to train the mind. It’s not about stopping your thoughts or having a perfectly quiet mind. Instead, it’s about learning how to notice your thoughts and work with them in a healthier way. Over time, you can discover that calmer, clearer, and more positive states of mind are possible.

On this 6 week course, you’ll learn simple, practical ways to steady a busy mind. Step by step, we’ll explore meditation using Buddhist insights about how the mind works, helping you build habits that support greater calm, clarity, and well-being

Is this course for me?

This course is open to everyone including newcomers, people who have been meditating at home or on an app, and people who want a refresher course on the foundations.  By the end of the course you will have all the tools for a lifelong meditation practice, and you will be well placed to engage with any class at the Norwich Buddhist Centre. You don’t have to be a Buddhist to learn or benefit from our meditation practices!
