Introduction to Buddhism

Stop Fighting the Universe; Start Living in Harmony

Six Tuesday evenings 16 January to 20 February at 6.45pm 7 – 9pm

at Norwich Buddhist Centre

Suitable for Beginners and Regulars

How often do we feel like we are hitting our heads against a brick wall; trying to be happy but finding that happiness seems to slip through our fingers; finding ourselves yet again in another dead end.

What if there was a way to peace and happiness, not through external means but within our own minds, a way of being happy whatever is happening in our lives; a way of living in harmony with life.

As Buddhists, we are trying to do this.  2,500 years ago the Buddha found a way.  Initially he thought no-one would understand.  But he was persuaded to pass on his understanding.

Those insights are still as relevant today as they ever were.  We invite you to come and explore them for yourself and see if they work for you.  This work, which re-connects us to who we truly are, can be deeply relaxing, joyful and meaningful.

The course will include what the Buddha said about reality and looks at ways of living one’s life in accordance with it.  It will also give an introduction (or refresher) to Buddhist Meditation.

It is led by two senior Order Members,   Sujana and Sinhadakini.

We can all  learn how to live in harmony with reality rather than fighting it.
