A DAY WITH THE EARLY BUDDHIST NUNS (THE THERIS)
A Jewel Quest Day for women GFR mitras & Dharmacarinis of East Anglia
Sunday 1st December | 10.30-4pm
10am: Arrive for tea
10.30am: Welcome & introductions in the shrine room, meditation
11am: Introduction to the day & the theme (the Theris and their stories from the Therigatha)
11.15am: First story leading to discussion groups
12pm: Second story leading to discussion groups
12.45pm: Lunch
2pm:  Third story leading to discussion groups (the groups will be different each time…)
2.45pm: Reflection time
3.15pm: Anything arising…?
3.30pm: Puja
4pm: Clear up and farewells
Lunch
Please bring vegan food for a shared lunch. If your diet makes a shared vegan meal unsuitable, then please bring your own food, labelled as yours, and keep it separate. Thank you.
Payment
£20 for the day or £15 concessions. Bursaries are available if you’d like to take this up, please contact info@norwichbuddhistcentre.com
Parking
Parking is available nearby (Monastery car park, Elm Hill or St Andrews multi storey, Duke Street). Unfortunately there is very little parking available on Bank Street itself.
Trains
The train station is about five minutes walk from the Buddhist Centre, over the river & straight up Prince of Wales Road.
