Module: Dr Ambedkar and Buddhism

Dr. Ambedkar was a great social reformer in India who converted to Buddhism with hundreds of thousands of his followers, in order to help them escape the crushing oppression of caste. Only weeks after his conversion Dr Ambedkar died suddenly and Sangharakshita found himself drawn into the plight of all those thousands who had converted to Buddhism, touring and giving talks.

Dates: Mondays – 13 May to 15 July
