Morning Programme: Sacred World – the Mandala, our Mandala
What would it be like to live in a sacred world? We might imagine living in a world where we feel deeply connected to everything and everybody in it and in which we care for everything as if it is part of us, intimate and dear. According to the ‘mandala principle’, we are already living in that world and connected, we just may not see it quite yet.
In the morning, we will be exploring the meaning of the ancient symbol of the mandala and what it means for you and the Norwich Buddhist Centre, right here, right now.
The morning will include a talk on Mandala from Sinhadakini and feature a spacious ritual dedicating our Sangha and celebrating our connections. There will be time together for friendship, discussion and reflection.
Please bring something small (which would fit in the hand e.g. a small stone) which will feature in the ritual and which you will be able to take home with you.
Bring vegetarian lunch to share
Afternoon Programme: An Ever-widening Circle, the Sangha Grows
In the afternoon, there will be a Mitra Ceremony where we will witness and celebrate a number of people joining the Mitra ‘Mandala.’
Followed with an abundance of tea and cake.
Further details to follow.
