Journey Without a Goal
Our Buddhist practice is a journey of discovery; a journey to the deepest levels of our mind. When meditate we find inevitable expectations. Perhaps we seek a calm and peaceful mind, perhaps we want the freedom of enlightenment. Whatever our initial motivation, most of us find that expectations lead to disappointment. We find we are not in control of our mind and all the thoughts we expected to disappear with meditation practice, still flood our mind. Giving up expectations is more difficult that we might think, but the more we let them dissolve, the more we learn how to befriend our mind; how to accept ourselves and enjoy the journey without always looking ahead to the goal. Join me for a morning session of meditation and a short talk.
