The Journey and The Guide

The Journey and The Guide

A Practical Course in Enlightenment

Level: Beginners and Regulars

Have you ever got up in the morning and wondered where your life was going? Have you ever felt lost among all the choices that life seems to offer? Have you ever felt tired of the endless habitual thoughts you have?

It’s as if we have an urge to get somewhere but we can’t remember where, or we keep changing our minds. Buddhism offers us a map to help guide us through this mysterious life. This map is available to anyone – you don’t need to consider yourself a Buddhist, or even a spiritual person to start exploring it. If you give it a go with an open mind, you will walk away with a clearer sense of direction and a compass in your pocket.

This six-week course offers a radical, uncompromising vision of the possibilities latent in us, and practical tools to realise that vision. The course teaches you how to start and continue on a journey towards a more connected and courageous life. You will be challenged in the best possible ways, and asked to push yourself beyond the boundaries of a constrained life.

It is suitable for newcomers to Buddhism, as well as for more experienced practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of the Buddhist path. If you’ve ever wondered whether you were a Buddhist, this is the perfect course for you! It’s also a great introduction to Buddhism and meditation.

As part of the course fees, you will receive a copy of Maitreyabandhu’s book ‘The Journey & The Guide’ which the course is based on. You will also get weekly tips to practise at home to help apply the teachings in your everyday life.
