The Ox Herder and the Ox
Treading the Buddhist path to Enlightenment is not easy! What does it mean to go for refuge, to keep our sense of faith in the Three Jewels? How do we keep motivating ourself? These are all questions we face when we commit ourselves to practice. In the 12th Century, the Chinese Zen Master Guo-an Shi-yuan represented the whole Buddhist Path in a series of pictures, showing how the ox-herder (you and me!) tames the ox (our mind). This mitra morning will include discussion, meditation and, of course, pictures!
