For over 40 years, Norwich Buddhist Centre have been offering meditation in the heart of the city. Our meditation classes and courses are open to all, regardless of background or faith.

Lunchtime Lift

Lunchtime Lift offers people working in Norwich the opportunity to come along to a drop in meditation session specifically designed to fit into a lunch break.

The sessions are led by an experienced teacher and are suitable for complete beginners.

Tuesday Meet & Meditate Online

Every Tuesday 7.30-8.30am

These early morning sessions are for those familiar with the two meditations which we teach at the Norwich Buddhist Centre - the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana.

Each session will begin with some time for us to share what is going on in our lives and then there will be a 40 minute meditation with minimal instruction and bells. The people leading the class will alternate the practices each week.

Saturday Lunchtime Meditation

Every Saturday 1- 2pm

Join us at the Centre for this weekly drop-in meditation class. Each class will be led by an experienced meditator and is suitable for beginners, as well as those looking to practice in a group setting.

To take up meditation is to introduce a powerful force for change in your life. If you change your mind then the world changes too. Meditation is easily learnt and can be the beginning of life's greatest adventure. We teach two meditation practices: the mindfulness of breathing, which enhances our awareness and peace of mind; and the Metta Bhavana - the development of loving kindness - which brings about a gentle but potentially radical transformation in our emotional experience.

There's no need to book - just come along!

Wednesday Buddhism and Meditation Drop In

Wednesday 12.15pm- 1.15pm

Join us at the Centre for this weekly lunchtime meditation and Buddhism class. Each week will feature a talk on some aspect of Buddhist practice, followed by meditation. This is a drop-in session - so no need to book - and is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those who have some ongoing practice.

This drop in will run initially for four weeks until 10th Nov
